GIVE and GROW was a stewardship programme that took place in Troon Old Parish Church from February to November 2009. During that period it acted as a focal point for all of us in the church - elders and members of the congregation - giving us the opportunity to commit with enthusiasm to the growth of our church.

The Gatherings
The Gatherings took place on 26th and 27th May. They were a great success and all who attended were pleased that they came along.
These were significant events in the life our church and it is important that every member of Troon Old can share in the occasion and have an opportunity to respond to it.
The setting for the Gatherings was an exhibition of some 35 displays located throughout the church and halls. Each display highlighted a different aspect of the life and work of Troon Old. A common reaction was surprise at just how much goes on, sometimes quietly and “behind the scenes”, but all important to members of the congregation and the wider community.
The centrepiece of each Gathering was a short session in the main hall comprising presentations on Christian Spending and Christian Giving, with a lighthearted Quiz thrown in for good measure.

Our Prayer
Generous God,
all that we are
and all that we have
comes from you.
Forgive us the times when we have been less than generous
in what we have said,
in what we have done,
in the ways we have given
our money and ourselves.
Help us to give gladly and generously to you
for the work of your Church
in our community,
in our country, and
throughout the world.
May your kingdom come.
May your will be done.
Through our Give and Grow programme, encourage generous spirits and generous actions in each of us here,
that our giving may enable the sharing of the gospel through the worship, fellowship, mission and service of Troon Old Parish Church.
