They say if you wait long enough, you can see a ghost at Troon Old.
Specifically, you need to wait for a looong dry spell – not something that happens all that often in the rainy West of Scotland.
And the ghost? It’s the outline of the church’s World War 2 air raid shelter, appearing in the usually beautifully manicured front lawn.
At the front you can clearly see the entrance to the shelter.
