Kalimpong Coffee Morning 2021
Saturday 2 October 2021 Troon Friends of Kalimpong look forward to welcoming you back to their annual coffee morning in support of Dr Graham’s Homes in India, from 10 am till 12 noon on Saturday 2nd October.
Dr Graham’s Homes in Kalimpong, North East India, is a day and boarding school for around 1500 students. This unique institution was founded in 1900 by Dr John Anderson Graham, a Church of Scotland missionary. Since then, deprived Anglo-Indian children from the back streets of Calcutta and beyond have found a home, loving care and a sound education at the Homes.
The UK Committee for Dr Graham’s Homes is a registered charity, based in Scotland, which pays for the education, board and lodgings of about 250 children at the Homes.
Troon has been associated with Dr Graham’s Homes since 1973 when the Rev John Webster returned after nine years at Dr Graham’s to become minister at Troon Old. The work of “Troon Friends” carries on that personal association with the Homes.
To find out more about the work of Dr Graham’s Homes, please visit the UK Committee’s website at www.drgrahamshomes.co.uk.
