Christian Aid Week 2018

Sunday 13 – Saturday 19 May 2018

Poverty is an outrage against humanity.  It robs people of their dignity and lets injustice thrive.  But together we have the power to transform lives.

For over 70 years, with the help of its supporters, Christian Aid has been helping change the lives of people of all faiths and none in the poorest communities around the world.

This Christian Aid Week, we’re asking everyone to #StandTogether and help families like those of Jocelyne, Marcelin and Vilia in Haiti to weather future storms.

Here’s how.

House-to-house Collection

Some time during the week a Christian Aid donation envelope will pop through your letterbox.  Please be generous when filling it – a Christian Aid collector will be along in a few days to pick it up.

Or, how about making a date for lunch?  See the menu below – delicious soup and sandwiches will be available in Troon Old Church Halls on Wednesday 16th, Thursday 17th and Friday 18th May, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.  All proceeds from these lunches go direct to Christian Aid.

Quiz Sheet

Finally, you could buy a Christian Aid Quiz Sheet (characters from films and literature quiz), cost just £1, available from the Church Office or during the Lunches.
