Monday 10 – Sunday 16 May 2021
Christian Aid week in 2021 will be from 10th May until 16th May.
For 75 years Christian Aid has been standing with the poorest of our neighbours, with people of all faiths and none. Together we have been standing up for dignity, equality and justice, even when that has been virtually and separately. For many 2020 was one of the most difficult years in living memory. The coronavirus pandemic changed health systems and economies in every society, stretching some to breaking point. At the same time the climate crisis continued to grow more deadly.
There is no denying the severe impact this has had, and continues to have, on communities around the world- especially those battling poverty. But even in the toughest moments, love gives hope.
As you know volunteers from the Churches in Troon were not able to carry out house to house collections in May 2020, nor host lunches during Christian Aid week due to the pandemic.
Regretfully May 2021 will still look a bit different. We still have to contend with coronavirus and whatever social distancing restrictions are in place to keep us all safe. However with a little creativity, we can all rise to the challenge for Christian Aid week (10th to 16th May)
Instead of house to house collections of Christian Aid’s red envelope we can donate digitally by following this link
Due to popular demand Quiztian Aid will return on Saturday 8th May. 7pm. This on-line fun filled quiz is suitable for all the family! Sign up at
